Ex-Stewartry Shark Alex Craig has been named in the Scotland squad for this year’s Six Nations tournament.
The 22-year-old lock from Castle Douglas has been playing regularly for Premiership side Gloucester in recent weeks. He has been putting in Man Of the Match performances in the Europen Cup.
And he has done enough to catch the eye of Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend, who named him in his squad of 38 yesterday.
In a recent interview, Craig said: “It’s my lifetime goal to represent Scotland.
“It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing.”
