Academy (S1-S6), Club News | 21st May 2019
Stewartry progressed through to the semi-final stage against much fancied Ayr but despite appearing to win the game by two points, spectators and coaches had the score 28-26, the assistant referee appeared to have the score totted up at 26-26.
Despite our protests extra time had to be played and we lost 3 Tries to 1.
Marr then won convincingly in the final.
Stewartry only had a squad of 10 against the larger squads of Ayr and Marr.
Great day was had by all though despite this wee dispute and it was also fantastic to have our Under 18 Scotland cap Joseph Strain back playing with his mates for most of this teams last ever outing for Stewartry Colts before moving on to senior rugby
